Academic Data and Assessment

Student's progress is measured by data collected from a variety of assessments given at OSD.  The student's grade level, age, level of functional ability, and IEP will determine the type of assessment given.  The more common assessments given are:

• Brigance Inventory
• Key Math
• Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA)
• Stanford Achievement Test, 10th Edition (SAT 10)
• Measure of Academic Progress (MAPs from NWEA)
• Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS)

Teachers may opt to offer the following assessments as well:

• Star Math
• Star Reading
• FACTER
• Easy CBM
• EdMark

Teachers form teams during Profession Learning Community times on Fridays to look at the data and create ways to improve instruction in the classroom.
